Insadong Korean BBQ Restaurant – Authentic Korean BBQ & Exceptional Service in Coquitlam

I visited this restaurant yesterday night and this was the most authentic Korean Bbq I have ever visited. Their meat quality is the best, probably better than most locations in Seoul. I visited this place because I missed Korean Bbq from when I visited Seoul last month. Their service was also top notch. I have never visited a restaurant with such friendlier service. I don’t know what the people who gave 1 stars below are talking about. They make no sense.

As a lover of kbbq i have to say this is one of the best spots in Vancouver. I don’t recall what my friend ordered for the table but it was one of the combos for 2. Perfect selection of marinated and non-marinated meat cuts. The spicy tofu soup really hit the spot for me as I am recovering from a sickness. Overall really enjoyed this spot and will be coming back!!

This has become my go-to Korean BBQ spot in the area—not necessarily because it serves the absolute best-tasting meat, but because it offers one of the most comfortable dining experiences I’ve had at a Korean BBQ restaurant. What stands out immediately is the spacious layout. There’s ample room between tables, which makes the atmosphere feel relaxed and private. Even better, you hardly notice the usual BBQ smoke, thanks to great ventilation. The staff here are also incredibly friendly and attentive—they frequently replace the grill plates without needing to be asked, which keeps the cooking clean and consistent. The food itself is very satisfying. While the meat is not the best I’ve ever had, it’s definitely above average and full of flavor—no complaints at all. What really impressed me is their kimchi and banchan selection. With 12 different side dishes, it’s one of the largest assortments I’ve seen. Another highlight is the dining environment. There are a few semi-private and private rooms available, which you can request when making a reservation—perfect for small gatherings or quieter meals. Overall, this place may not be the flashiest, but it’s a well-rounded favorite for its comfort, service, and solid food. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a more laid-back Korean BBQ experience.

We enjoy coming to Insadong for the consistently great quality, both in food and service. The BBQ meats are always well-marbled, and their side dishes and miso soup are very tasty. What really sets this place apart is the service. Every single staff member is equally friendly, polite, and attentitive. Their attention to detail is outstanding; they routinely change the grill plates for us before we even have to ask, something that many restaurants tend to overlook until requested. It’s that combination of excellent food, thoughtful service, and warm hospitality that makes Insadong one of our favorite places.

Absolutely delicious meat, and the free side dishes are a great addition. I went there for my birthday with my partner and I waited no time for a table. We ordered Combo B for 2 people and it was very filling and delicious. The servers were very polite and very attentive. I also loved the tea!!

i don’t normally write long reviews but i’ve been here several times now and it’s consistently been my favourite place to eat! the first thing you have to know is the amazing staff. they’re super attentive and quick without making you feel rushed and always bring a fun energy to the table. as a regular, i feel so welcomed when the servers remember my name and welcome me like a friend:) i love bringing people to show how kind and funny the staff are for wait times, as soon as you’re seated and order, the food comes out fast, which is perfect when you’re hungry and ready to eat. most importantly the meat is unbeatable. every cut we’ve tried has been incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. i’ve been to many korean restaurants in the area but ive never had meat this tender and flavorful. i’m normally picky with meat if it’s too tough or chewy which is why it’s hard for me to find good restaurants. also you can’t forget to mention the side dishes that can never be beat finally, i really appreciate the atmosphere. they play trendy music which adds a nice vibe to the space. the ac works so well too. one of my pet peeves is when restaurants are too stuffy and i feel too hot or nauseous to eat. overall, i would genuinely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality korean bbq, great service, and a nice dining experience.

It was my first time at this Korean restaurant as we came here for a company party. I must say, this was best korean bbq experience I ever had. The food quality was amazing, the service was unmatchable, and it was very spacious, unlike some other restaurants where they try to fit as many tables as they can. If you are in the lougheed, coquitlam area, I can assure you this is the best Korean Bbq in this area, if not the whole Vancouver.

One of the best Korean BBQs we've been to. Starting with the very pleasant place, each of the guys and girls who served us was very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. And not to mention the food, it was delicious, with a variety of flavors that blew us away. Highly recommended!
